Creating the AI Bill of Rights
Let's create something that can take over the world and be extremely cavalier about it.
Let's create something that can take over the world and be extremely cavalier about it. We will start by analyzing the Bill of Rights presented by the Biden administration and explore all potential readings and solutions first, then present our plan for world domination.
There are five principles that govern the AI Bill of Rights by the Biden administration. Let’s take a look at them here.
Principle 1 - Safe and Effective Systems: This principle states that systems should not be designed in a way that endangers your safety or the safety of your community. It makes sense to me. If you are some kind of weird masochist who likes to threaten yourself or your community, I would refer you to the self-help section at your local library.
Principle 2 - Algorithmic Discrimination Protections: This principle states that algorithms should be designed in a way that prevents the unjustified treatment of any group of people (race, color, sex, etc.). Unfortunately, for my beautiful audience, stupidity is not protected.
Principle 3 - Data Privacy: This principle states that you as an individual should have control over how your data is being used. This involves design choices that protect an individual from privacy violations. If you like watching embarrassing TikTok videos that you don’t want anyone else seeing, you’re in for some good news here.

Next week we will finish the principles, then I want to head over to Anthropic's paper on AI Safety so we can understand it from the private sector’s perspective.
